It’s a common question – “Do I need to move out while you’re painting?”
And the short answer is: Not unless you want to.
We work with lots of busy families, first-home buyers, and people juggling everyday life while trying to get the house looking its best. So whether you’re living in the house or just about to move in, we can work in a way that suits you.
If you’re moving in soon…
Bought a home that needs a bit of a refresh before the furniture goes in? We can line up the job for as soon as you get the keys. A house that’s empty is always quicker to paint – no furniture to move, no drying-time delays between rooms – so if the timing works, we’ll get in and out before you move in properly.
If you’re already living in the house…
No problem. We’re used to working around people and their routines. Our usual approach is to paint one or two rooms at a time, so you’ve still got access to the rest of the house while we work. This also gives the paint time to dry properly before you’re back using the space.
We keep things tidy, cover surfaces carefully, and always clean up after ourselves each day. You won’t feel like you’re living in a construction site.
Going away? Even better.
Some of our clients plan painting jobs while they’re away on holiday – and it works a treat. You leave us the keys, and we get it all sorted while you’re away relaxing.
And yes, we’ve even been known to feed the cat and water the plants while we’re there. Just let us know what you need, and we’ll work it in.
What’s the best option for you?
Every household is different, and we’re happy to talk through what’ll work best for yours. The best way to start is with our Free Estimate page – we’ll have a look at your place, chat about timing and logistics, and give you a quote that makes sense.
We’re a small, woman-run team here in Christchurch, and we genuinely enjoy helping people get their homes looking great – without turning life upside down in the process.
