When you’re getting painting done, it’s natural to worry about the mess – especially if you’re staying in the house while the work happens. So how do we protect your things while we’re painting?
In short – we’re careful, and we plan ahead.
Furniture and flooring come first
If furniture can be moved out of the room, we’ll ask you to clear the small stuff, and we’ll give you a hand with the bigger items. But if moving everything out isn’t practical (and it often isn’t), we’ll work around what’s there.
We use:
-
Heavy-duty drop sheets on floors
-
Plastic covers or clean drop cloths over furniture
-
Masking tape and plastic around edges and trims
-
Careful cutting in around anything that can’t be moved
It’s not just about keeping things paint-free – it’s also about working cleanly so your space still feels liveable while we’re there.
What about gardens and outdoor areas?
For exterior jobs, we’re just as careful outside. If we’re working near plants, garden beds, or outdoor furniture, we’ll take steps to protect those too.
-
Drop sheets or boards where needed
-
Moving anything delicate or valuable out of the splash zone
-
Careful setup and tidy pack-down at the end of each day
We treat your home – and your garden – with the same care we’d want at ours.
Anything you need to do beforehand?
Just let us know what’s important to you. If there’s a piece of furniture, an heirloom, or a particularly precious plant you’re worried about, we’ll make sure it’s looked after.
